Village Bell

Located in Cardinia Shire, 50 km south east of Melbourne, Upper Beaconsfield enjoys a unique environmental and cultural heritage. The estimated 3136 residents are spread over a wide area in a manner that preserves the natural environment. The small town centre offers a number of shops and eating establishments whilst maintaining a warm and friendly village atmosphere. The village (elevation 200m at the General Store) stands on the brink of a south facing escarpment. Its environs include Guys Hill, 2.5 kms to the south by road and, to the north, parts of Dewhurst that survived the completion of Cardinia Reservoir in 1973.
