Creche
Upper Beaconsfield Community Centre Creche (UBCC Creche)

The UBCC Creche is a small, friendly creche that entertains and teaches young children while parents and carers take a break, attend a course or do a bit of part time work. It provides occasional care and is run by a not-for-profit organisation. It is accepts a maximum of 26 children ranging in age from six months to pre-schoolers. Qualified staff members have plenty of experience, are all mothers and are genuinely interested in the children in their care.
The creche overlooks treed parkland and has a wonderful outdoor play area with a covered sandpit, vegetable garden and cool outdoor cubbyhouse.
Operating hours are Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 4.00pm.
Fees are $6 per hour or $38.50 for a full day. A discounted fee of $4/hr is available for parents doing courses at the community centre or families with a second or subsequent child also using the creche. There are no minimum booking requirements.

St John's is a growing church, which emphasises the teachings of the Bible, proclaims the good news of salvation through believing and trusting in Jesus Christ and seeks to help people to come to know the power of God in daily living.

Community Centre

The UBCC offers a range of activities, courses and sessions including fitness, computer training, special needs classes, art, craft, childrens classes, and a variety of special interest classes. A new program is developed each term. Copies are delivered locally and details are available on our website. UBCC is also a Registered Training Organisation which offers training for qualifications including Cert IV in Training and Assessment, Cert III in Aged Care, Cert III in Childrens Services and Cert II in First Aid. The centre is also the meeting place for local organisations and support groups including the Upper Beaconsfield Association, Cancer Support Group and Fibromyaligia Support Group. Free computer use and internet access is available. A Toy Library is based at the centre and a Registered Class 1 crèche is operated by the centre.
The office is open from 9.00 - 3.30. Classes and Meetings are also held outside these hours according to the program schedule.

The Upper Beaconsfield Community Complex Buildings & Grounds Committee is a committee of management for the Department of Sustainability and Environment.

The group aims to encourage local landowners to plant and/or protect native vegetation and to assist with the maintenance of public reserves in the Cardinia Creek catchment.

CWA provides hospitality and fellowship amongst its members. It provides a forum for discussing various social issues, lobbies government and provides support to the community, eg families affected by drought.

Fire Brigade
Upper Beaconsfield Rural Fire Brigade
The brigade has been active for over 75 years. The brigade fights fires in the local area and supports other brigades as well. It also attends motor vehicle accidents, trees across the road and assists when powerlines come down. The brigade actively educates the community in fire awareness and safety.

The Auxiliary supports the brigade members in their fire fighting activities and raises funds to buy new equipment for the brigade.
The Auxiliary meets bi-monthly: Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep and Nov. on the last Tuesday in the month, 8pm.

Library
The Casey-Cardinia Library Corporation operates a Mobile Library service that makes weekly visits to Upper Beaconsfield on Tuesday mornings. Members have free access to the full range of library resources, including books, magazines, talking books, videos and DVDs, music CDs, CD-ROMs and databases. Immunisation sessions are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 10.30am - 11.00am at Upper Beaconsfield Community Complex, Salisbury Road.

This is a community nursery run by Cardinia Catchment Landcare. It is operated by volunteers. It grows indigenous plants (plants which grow naturally in the area) for revegetation works and for local gardens. It is open on Fridays from 12noon or by appointment.

A retail and production nursery providing employment, training, work experience and volunteer opportunities as part of wide range of services and opportunities for the inclusion of disadvantaged people. The 838 bus makes three trips per week-day from Emerald to Beaconsfield, Berwick station and Fountain Gate Shopping Centre and back again, passing through Upper Beaconsfield.  See the Metlink website for timetable. Pakenham line trains - nearest station is Beaconsfield - are operated by Connex.
